So we had our game gathering last Sunday, again at Hanif's (rumah ku ganya balum ani heheheheh, rumah si Ayman pun sudah... Maybe I should :x). I invited Fath along too since he wanted to play DotA with me, and since this is a gamethering, it's suiting enough.

We went there around 10am, had to send my little sisters to my granny's first at Salambigar and picked up Ayman Vami along the way. In order for Fath to find Hanif's home easier, we decided to wait up for him at the Mentiri-Sungai Akar's highway since he's on the way there. But we needn't wait long (we didn't even need to stop on the roadside!) as we passed by Fath's car on the traffic light there; that's good timing for you.

Thusssssssssss begin, the long hours of gaming.
I brought my PS2 along, mainly for Tekken 5... annoying kali Ayman's King...
Got the WC3 files from Fath and I proceed to install on my laptop. I was a little bit worried that it won't work since my laptop has a such crappy RAM and integrated video card sucks chicken balls and my previous DotA-ing was done back when on that favourite PC of mine, which has nVidia gfx card that was good enough for me; until it got fried by thunder, whoopeeee!

Once done, set up LAN connection with Fath, and DotA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAIL. My laptop proved to be very laggy, it stuck when I faced Fath heroes, and the next moment it continued, I was already dead. And uhh... Fath immediately ended the game right then and there. At least it saves me from the embarrassment of being killed over and over due to my n00bishness lulz.

Enywai, yeah, Tekken... Counter-Strike, occasional SSB, and we're done by 5pm. Also got the Pokemon's anime too, which I'm currently enjoying a little too much (Why is the episodes in the Pokemon season 2 folder is still season 1? <.<).

Yesterday night, went out to watch The Karate Kid with Atul, Jihah, Asyraf and Jimah at Qlap mall: thanks to Jimah for treating the tix, or I else wouldn't even join them since I was broke haha-ha... the movie was great by the way, very funny too.

Also played 100-matches of Tekken 5 against my brother yesterday afternoon, and damn he won, 65 to 35, he scored a Perfect once, and a 10 winning streak =.= But I won the last match which I find to be more or less satisfying haha: and imagine all our screaming all the way through 100 matches which lasted for several hours, it was crazy.

Wokayyy, felt very dizzy now after long hours of gaming. It's not like I got much to do, not with the current gay internet connection we're having. Can't even watch YouTube, and it has been goin on for a week now.

Anywai, I finished Kingdom Hearts II last night (finally!), after playing for what? 3 years? Haha batah ah... too many obstacles I guess.

But since I can finally play uninterrupted this time, I started playing the game from the beginning few months ago, and progressing very slowly at that, only have been playing very tensely few days ago, right after I was done with my exams, and voila! I'm glad to have finally beaten it, because I don't want to be confused with the complex storyline when the english version of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is released. Which will be on this upcoming September! WOHOOO!

I'm still not quite done yet with KH2; still got few challenges in there left; treasures, cups, item synthesis, AND most especially beating that badass Sephiroth........... I engaged him for battle yesterday, since I was excited to see how strong he still is since the first Kingdom Hearts (yes, for those not in the know, Sephiroth is even stronger than the final boss in the first game). I think I was on level 51 or something that time, aaaaaaaaaaand I was brutally murdered, in less than a minute. Yeppp, still stronger than the final boss = . =

This morning I woke up, I thought; what the hell am I gonna play next?
I felt like I've exhausted my games collection...

Also, I tried to do Jiggy's "slide teleport+Rest" combo (around 1m:11s) but I failed. But I managed to pull it off as the final move.

Inconsistently-shaped samosas :D~

Today, I successfully made scrumptious Samosas!
This is probably the first time I came out victorious in making pastry-based food :') Pasal I suck at making dough. Rolling it into thin pastry was a pain in the arse process.

For the fillings, I decided to use Kraft's cheddar cheese that I haven't finished since I bought it a month ago. I was expecting the cheese to melt inside after I deep-frying, and it did of course, in it's full glory:

Piping hot and oozing cheese! Life is good.

This one is with cornbeef and cheese filling. Nyeh, I still prefer the strictly cheese one.

Worth the time input.

Chikin Wings and Nasi Goreng

LUNCH! OM NOM NOM NOM NOM.
Thanks to the discovery of wok seasoning, I've been eating Nasi Goreng everday for the past 3 days.

Wot? Wok Seasoning? Wazat?
I wondered about wok seasoning when I come upon a comment on one of my favorite cooking channel on YouTube, where one of the user gave tips that in order to have a good wok, you need to use it often, and "season them well".

I thought how the heck would you season metal?
So YouTube being the vault of visual knowledge, I searched for the How To's, and found this asian chick with British accent ♥:

So all it took was that! Just smear oil all over the wok and let it turn into a nigguh by burning it up over the stove.

So I thought I made fried rice as an excuse to try and season the wok since it's simple.
I didn't dare to blacken the still-pristine-silver carbon steel wok so I used the non-stick one instead since it's already black in the first place so it wouldn't be obvious. God I want my own wok. Anyway, the process was awesome since lots of smoke came out and I had to turn that hardly-used small kitchen fan on to let the smoke out, then the wok have this shiny black coating at the bottom which is the result that I wanted.

Henceforth, my Nasi Goreng have never tasted this good, the enhanced flavour is just magnifico. All hail our fried rice overlord.

Today aku non-stop main SSB using Samus. That's what usually happen when I finally got used to a character's control and style of play, and I must say, Samus is quite fun to use - only problem was her crappy recovery.

I went to school last Thursday for Manga club to plant tulips and make the world a better place. Friggin' lame eh our host teacher replacement. Out of all people it has to be her - not cool. Dammit, gone are the old glorious days of teacherless club.

The club was mostly silent that afternoon, only the animu playing on the projector screen can be heard. Played SSB with Ayman, with no volume. I'm starting to play with Ness again haha, and I realised I hardly used grab anymore (spam-grabbing used to be my favourite past time :p). Who needs grab when you can headbutt! *runs back and forth from ledges* Ogayogayogayogay. Wooo si Ayman hardly pakai Jigglypuff's JENG nya huahuahua... ketara wah ia bagi aku can.

God we need more SSB player in Brunei. I've been so far epicly failed in my attempt to infect my other friends. It's like "Hey play this awesome game! *post SSB's download link*", then it went like "...*krik krik krik krik*". Goes to show that those I hang out with in MD is a bunch of game-nerds, and proud of it :p

Then my former Business Studies teacher came in and join the teacher - I knew both of them were close, so it was no surprise. Diy later said that both of them are our new teacher-in-charge. I don't mind my Business teacher though, at least she is okay. Can't say the same about Ms. Timebomb there *shrug*.

Then uhh, today morning I went to school again since I wanted to borrow textbooks. I know this is kind of last minute what with the exam coming up in less than a month from now, but my notes is a complete mess so I needed the alternative reference. The Geography department was a bit stingy in lending books to non-repeaters, but my former teacher was great enough to sneak it out for me in secrecy - one of the many reason of her pure awesomeness ♥. Business Studies department on the other hand, was a breeze, no need for back-alley deal, all they need was my phone number.

Now I got my textbooks, it's time for REVISION-FRENZY!

I don't know if I can resist gaming though, I've been meaning to play Kingdom Hearts II from the beginning for awhile now and this may turn into an excuse to procrastinate. NUUU! Someone destroy the PS2! While you're at it, nuke the e-speed too! Better yet, this evol laptop!

Facebook was taken over by Bieber fever last night, it's Bieber everywhere!
This is what my Facebook's News Feed looked like the morning after (click the image for larger size):

These people changed their last name to Bieber and has been active in trolling other people's Facebook pages by posting Bieber's song lyrics in an attempt to "Bieberise" them.

Ayman Bieber is available and has offered an explanation:

It's nothing really.
It's just that, out of a sudden my friend - a guy! - suddenly changed his profile photo to that of Bieber's, and received a lot of responses - negative and positive.

He doesn't get why people hate Bieber that much, is it because they are jealous? etc.
So he went to Bieber haters' and lovers' Facebook and said something like, "Do you like Bieber?", "You hate Bieber right?", "Wanna get Bieber-ed by me?" etc.

Some take it serious and said, "No", but some others (like me) decided to troll people around and decided to change our last name to Bieber and starts to 'Biebering' other people's profile. In the end, we have created an Army of Bieber. The end.

We do it for fun bah.

This fad will likely die in a day or two.

The life-span of the controller has finally ended. I played Super Smash Bros quite often with it, and I mash the Z button (assigned to the R2 shoulder button on the controller) a lot. Pressing Z is also essential to target enemies on the Legend of Zelda series, hence further contributing to the obliteration of the shoulder button.

The directional button was also f-up thanks to my "I-hate-using-analog-to-play-Ness" era in SSB, because Ness requires A CRAZY LOT of directional input. The end result: If I click Down on the d-pad it'll incorrectly register as Right - which is especially annoying if I ever plan on using Ness' badass down-air to destroy Yoshi's Egg Throw, leaving Ayman Vami to gasp in awe, for example, but instead it registered as the inferior forward-air attack, leaving Ness' downside vulnerable to the incoming egg and henceforth the inevitable egg shattered on his stomach, with Ayman Vami exclaiming excitedly, "Aiii kana, bari malu!".

I was planning to blog this yesterday right after I went home but I had such a long day I was too tired. But here you go, you savage readers!

Yesterday's plan to wake up early was an epic failure. I woke up at 6:40am to my sister's miss call. I was still very sleepy, and I had to brave Jangsak's traffic jam, f*cking TWICE!

First, I have to send my sister to her college in Katok. I haven't showered yet, so I have to go back home and get ready for my ITB entrance test's retest. It was nearly 7:30am when I got back, my test starts an hour away, so I just washed my face and packed up the essentials, at the same time feeling very stupid for not doing this in the first place. But what's done is done, time to face the sea of motorised brethren again. Basically it's a 45 minutes per trip of torture.

Arrived at ITB around 8:20am. This reminded me of the first time I sat for the entrance test few weeks ago, I was nearly late too, and to add to the familiar situation, instead of DNA waiting for me like last time, this time it's Comel's turn. Noooo! I made girls wait *facepalm*.

Anyway, I sat for the correct test this time around, the dude made sure it is by personally checking my paper lulz. Now I get it when Farhan said "the test was a joke" *nod excessively*. Oh yeah, I made sure I can convert Binary to decimal before sitting for the retest.

Question: Convert 10100 from binary to decimal.
Akif: WTF? *snort* 20. Nada soalan yang lagi payah kah?

I went to MD after the test to get my 'A'level June exam's Statement of Entry and timetable. Got home at 11am, received a text message from Comel inviting me to join them watching "How To Train Your Dragon". I agreed since I haven't watch it yet. Left home again at 1:30pm to send my second youngest little sister to Ugama school, then off I went to Gadong and met up with the Vivas.

Summary:

Fetched both my sisters from their respective school, and went home at 5:30pm. I text messaged Atul asking her if the gathering later is confirmed or not. She gave a positive yes.

Went out again at 10pm, this time to Bandar. Parked my car in front of the church and met up with my friends at the gerai near there. I had a real blast with them last night. I haven't hung out with all of them for quite some time now since all of us is very busy with our life (hence having the need to hold the gathering at 10pm, after everybody have finished working so everyone can make it haha), but it felt great to finally be able to. Laughter is a staple condiment to our conversation, which must not exclude scorching gossips, sampai ada yang tempias ;D

I can stop being anxious about the retest now. I finally got a call from ITB today, they told me that my computer test is scheduled for tomorrow morning, Alhamdulillah. After all those trouble, hopefully I can get through to the interview.

Please please please let everything go smoothly now.

Congratulation is also in order for my friend, Comel, who also got a surprise call from ITB informing her that she is qualified to take the entrance test, also held tomorrow. Probably pasal ada one of our friend atu withdrew from the ITB interview ;)

Must sleep early tonight, have to wake up early tomorrow for the test. Have to send my sis to school lagi, because my dad is staying at the hospital today, probably just overnight.

Aku frust! I got those "Half MP Cost" weapon for Lulu after beating Adamantoise. But then I encountered Behemoth King; the sensor said that it'll retaliate with Meteor before it dies. I thought, "Oh I'll just put fully healed Auron out, he'll survive fosho, he always do". At the end of the battle, the Meteor totally raped my party. Game over. WTF, I haven't even saved.

Hence I've been trying to find that specific weapon again by beating Adamantoise over and over again with no luck, damn... What are the odds of getting that darn weapon anyway. I got one for Yuna though, but I WANT LULU'S! So I can rape with Flare with 50% less MP, buy now! Call the toll-free number below!

OMG Drama! II

I think I'm developing a hot and cold relationship with ITB. One minute I felt like nuking the institution, then in another I felt like showering them with rainbow confettis.

ITB has released the list for people that are shortlisted for the interview, meaning they passed their entrance test. I was like "PHWAT?! They haven't even called me yet about the retest! Does this mean my plea has gone unheard? Oh woe is me".

I had been waiting for their phone call since Wednesday (except last Thursday though when I went to the movie heheh). But no it didn't come, even though the dude (the head?) said they'll ring me up in a day or two. So when I saw the list and my name wasn't in it, you cut me open and I, keep Bleeding Love.

I was actually really scared, because entering ITB is a very big deal for me, I wanted it so bad, I'll make love to it, even (no). So this afternoon, I went to ITB again and to see the dude (Okay I know his name, I just don't think it's a good idea to mention it here) to clarify things. He was locking up his office when I saw him. I approached him and asked the question that have been burning inside of me, "IS I STILL CONSIDERED FOR THE RETEST OR WAT?! *strangle*" (disclaimer: over dramatisation for entertainment purposes). He said he was actually on his way to the registrar for a meeting to discuss about that matter, which means I am actually still in consideration for the retest! Alhamdulillah.

I went home with renewed sense of hope. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Kraken: "I'd like to haaaave, one hot princess for lunch plz"

Holy Kraken crap! Clash of the Titans is amazing! I felt like the movie was a personal fan-service for me from beginning to the end. Mainly because, I'm a sucker for huuuuuge and badass monsters, and for orchestrated soundtracks; a plus if it synchronises with the aforementioned beasts movement, which is what this movie got to offer.

The huuuuuge and badass Scopioch battle scene is my favorite out of all in the film. You can see what I meant about that synchronisation thing in that trailer, when the Scopioch thrust it's tail twice toward the ground and the music goes "ZHET! ZHET!" in bliss harmony. It gives emphasis on the killer beasts move, like you can imagine it saying, "I'm the maestro bitch! I'm in control of the background music and imma rape you at the same time *jab jab*". That in itself, is pretty badass, oh and huuuuuge.

(EDIT: Scopioch? I meant... Scorpioch. Though on the soundtrack, which I'm listening to currently, the title is "Scorpiox". Ummbah.)

Clash of the Titans was the first trailer I saw with rock music instead of symphony orchestra with soaring backing choir, which is right now, the standard for epic fantasy film -- You know, the one that goes like, "HEE HO, HEE HO HAEY! HEE HO HEE HAEY!". Then I saw this trailer for the upcoming Robin Hood before the movie started, and it uses rock music too. Hopefully this will become a trend. I, for one, welcome this change.

Speaking of huuuuuge and badass monsters.
I recently played this epic title on the PlayStation2; Shadow of the Colossus. The storyline, as I barely remembered it, goes like this:
A boy, named Wander, wished to revive his beautiful maiden, named I-forgot, who had been sacrificed for I-can't-remember-what-too, basically she's dead la. In order to do that, he entered the Forbidden Land and there, he made a pact with Dormin, a mysteeeeerious entity that can resurrect the dead. Dormin agreed to resurrect I-forgot, and in exchange, Wander must (GUESS WHAT?!):
Destroy sixteen huuuuuge and badass Colossi! Oh yeah, armed with only a sword and a bow. Some of the Colossi are small though, to make up for agility, but they're still badass. And don't let me get started on the game's soundtrack!

Wander: "Hooooly shit!"

I'm still not finished with Hard Mode, I think I was at the eighth Colossus or something, malas ku kan sambung after I got my laptop back.

And finally:
When I finally saw Kraken (pictured at the top) in Clash of the Titans, it instantly reminded me of another huuuuuge and badass monstrosity; Sin from Final Fantasy X, whose favorite job is to kill the poor residents of Spira. I saved at the point right after defeating Lady Yunalesca in Zanarkand, and load it over and over again, because there was this epic scene of Sin looking calmly over the ruins at Tidus, and this time, I imagined Sin saying, "I can easily squish you right this instant, but not now, right now I'm just gonna lull you into a false sense of security *turn away and leave*".

Akif: ...*drool in awe*.

In other news, modern scientist have discovered that water, is in fact, wet.

Readers: GAZP A UPDATE!!

I knowwwwwwwwww I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Nearly 2 months baru tah kan update. You see, the reason why is because my laptop exploded when I read illegal Percy Jackson's e-book (No it didn't explode, I just didn't know how to explain it, so we stick with explosions for now since it's cooler -- but the Percy Jackson part was true though). The computer shops here in Brunei charged way to high a price just to fix teeny weeny little problem, so my dad went to *drumroll* Limbang! And got it fixed in just a day for a whopping B$80!

Hurray for Limbang!

My dad said that was a good deal, so I just went with it. Besides I'm too happy to be reunited with my laptop once more -- I don't have to play "Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" from the beginning :'D

Last week! Saturday was the ITB entrance test, and guess wutttt?! I sat for the wrong freakin' test!

---Start: The Amazing Skippable TMI Part---

I was rushing when I left home that I forgot to bring my I.C. thus I had to U-turn at Jangsak to go and fetch it (Mulaut resident here). Arrived around at ITB around 3:20pm, DNA - a friend of mine - repeatedly called me on my cellphone because I was late, since the test started at 3:30pm. I met up with her at the lobby with her friend, who happened to be a friend of Mai at LT. Tapi aku inda ingat namanya, Jill kah? Haha. Anyway, we went straight to the venue.

There are two separate area for the tests, one was on the first floor while the other was on the second. We checked our name and it told me that my test would be conducted at the second floor, while DNA would be taking it on the first, so we're separated. Here was when I started to notice something fishy goin' on. See, I'm applying for the same course as DNA, which is HND in Internet & Multimedia Development (IMD for short), so I expected both of us would be taking the test in the same room, since you know, I thought probably ITB would find it easier to manage?

But this Akif guy decided to just go with it thinking, "BAHHHH, there are prolly like about 120 people applying for this, they couldn't all fit in one room, could they? Hence, *enlightened face* the separate venue". I also saw a guy in the room that was from my previous college, Maktab Duli, plus my name was already in that list, who am I to defy black & white article so binding in this modern world?

Few minutes before the test start:
Instructorz: This test is for ND pepol blah di blah potatoes
Akif: (Ada ND course di ITB kan? Ouh, sama kali eh dengan HND).
Instructorz: Siapa yang test A'level di bawah tu ah blah blah grape milkshake blah.
Akif: (A'level? lolwut? Aku kan apply HND jua ni).
*some people left the room*
Akif: ...

Akif: *flip questions paper* (Nasib jua MCQ. Wait, oh shit, convert Binary to base-10? Hex? Octashit? WTF?)

I was able to answer some of them though, especially on HTML and intarwebs stuff, until I arrived at the last part of the paper, the section B, which roughly goes like:
Write some progamming code shit on this paper given this bla bla situation.

Basically it's like programming from scratch. I was very, very clueless right at that moment. In my head was like, "DAMN! People said this test was suppose to be easy! Basic stuff! This no basic!". Awu basic pulang, for those who already took computing lesson that is; But sadly, I don't have those background. In the end, I wrote macam-baie-setaie stuff on the paper like

DO ApplicantIC(ahole);
DateOfBirth();
Gender();
Etc etc etc();
Path ("AppIn08.dat");

Just for the sake of not wanting to leave it blank. Hung my head low as I head out of the exam room, my brain screaming "EPIC FAILYAH!!!". I met another friend of mine at the lobby before going home. I asked how the test goes for him, and he thought... it was friggin' easy.

Akif: Yawah? How about section B?
Plen: Section B? There's no section B.
Akif: Ehh... kau category A kah?
Plen: Awu.
Akif: Damn you, aku category B!

I spent the next few days telling people how baddd I did at the entrance test. Even at the 5A's gathering at Pantai Muara last Sunday. Zawir agreed that crap at the end of that test is something that needed to be learned first, not something you could do by common sense. Which heighten my doubt more that I could've been put at the wrong test.

Yesterday, I IMed Lina "Cakoi" Nurfiqah on MSN and wanted to ask her how she did at the computer test. And yet again, another person found the test was easy. I told her the Category B one was hard. Then she asked which floor I took my test at, so I told her I was at the second floor. Then she goes on saying about how that floor is reserved for people whom are done with their ND programme, and us people who, are from the A'level bunch should be on the first floor. Then I goes on mentaling to her. How the fudge should I know, I trusted ITB to be efficient in this, turns out, trust are meant to be broken (Awwwww). Wait that's for "promise", ain't it?

So I went to ITB this afternoon, with a little information from my inside informer, my cousin, on where to go and who to see. Went to the admin first, then they redirected me to the Computery Department. The first teacher I met there led me me to another (beautiful) teacher, whom in turn redirected me to (I assume) the head of the department. He consider me to resit for the test, but I had to wait a few more days. I'm glad to hear that since I need to get this course because I didn't apply for anything else besides this one (huge risk eyh?). I'll hopefully hear from them in a day or two.

Now about that guy from MD that was in the same exam room with me... this meant that he was taking the wrong test too. Hopefully he's aware of it though, if I knew him I would've tell him, but unfortunately, I don't.

Sheesh, I'm very mental how I tend to experience twisted demented problem whenever I wanted to enroll in an educational institution. I remembered my applying for Maktab Duli wasn't that smooth sailing either. Dugaan banar tah sudah tu.
